Get API key

A step-by-step guide on how to get an API key to use Cerebras models.

1. Create an Account on Cerebras

   First, visit the official Cerebras website at cerebras.ai↗ and click on the Get API Key button in the top-right corner. This will open the Sign Up page, where you can create an account.

2. Log In to Your Account

   Once your account is set up and verified, log into the Cerebras portal using the same credentials used to sign up.

3. Navigate to the API Key Section

   After logging into the Cerebras Cloud dashboard, click on API Keys in the left sidebar.

4. Generate New API Key

   In the API Keys section, click the Generate API Key button. Follow the directions to generate the key.

   It's important to remember that your API key is like a password, so treat it as confidential information. Only you should know it and if it falls into the wrong hands, others may be able to use it to access Cerebras services using your account.

5. Enter your API key into Kerlig

   Go to Settings, Integrations tab, then select Cerebras.
